Crosses of Crystal

An impressive cross of large, meticulously cut chandelier crystals crowns a bottle of stunning cobalt blue glass. Held fast within the rustic confines of solder, imbued in the time-worn hues of weathered iron, the light-throwing crystal brings the element of refinement to the cross bottle’s beautiful marriage of rough and elegant.

Framed within heavy, weathered solder, a stunning cross of leaded crystal, Austrian crystal and glass chandelier remnants provides a beautiful example of the juxtaposition of rustic and refined. Supporting the cross is a rare, hand blown antique cork top cobalt blue bottle that once held Quicksilver - or more commonly known as Mercury. Donned in many beautiful bubbles within the walls of glass and a faint internal patina, the bottle still displays its original label. Although tattered and faded, you can still make out the words, "Old Gibraltar Mercury... Quicksilver .... single distilled" I have made the patina rust heavy, because it both complements and contrasts so beautifully with the deep blue of the bottle. A very special collector piece that can stand alone or bejewel your existing collection.

Elegant in its simplicity and framed within heavy, rust hued solder, a cross of beautiful crystal chandelier remnants crowns a vintage bottle of rich, cobalt blue glass. A subtle patina veils the inside of the glass and rusted iron solder both complements and contrasts the saturated blue beautifully. A rusted rosary sprinkled in icy blue beads bejewels the neck of this cross bottle.

Heavily sculpted solder, washed in the worn and rusted hues of weathered iron, frame the plethora of radiant crystals which form the petite French Alisee cross. It is beautifully apparent that the crystals have been cut to catch and refract as much light possible by the confetti of color which is thrown when light washes across the faceted crystal surfaces. The rustic yet refined cross crowns a patinaed bottle of antique cobalt glass that has fabulous bubbles forever held within its walls. A rusty chaplet rosary drapes the shoulder of the bottle and suspended from the rusty chain is a weathered crucifix and aged religious medal. A faintly iridescent, ethereal patina veils the bottles interior -- a testament to the vessel's many years spent buried and hidden away underground.

Crosses of Pewter

Dark, rustic and weathered patina forever bind an intricately carved Medieval style cross of pewter to a small antique bottle veiled in a beautifully heavy, frosty and crusty patina. The glass has taken on a very slight, pale lavender hue, while traces of earthly remnants cling to the inside of the bottle, serve as a reminder of its century long hideaway within the earth. A subtle flash of iridescence adds an element of enchantment and surprise to the weathered feel of the piece.
